How do I spell shoulder/back relief? B-a-s-s b-e-l-t.

have you try lifting weight to help your muscle?

For some of us this doesn't work; I know I've attempted to gain muscle in the past, but my metabolism is so high (I'm on of those people that can eat anything, as much as they want, and still remain a stick thin twig) that it simply burns away instantly. I would literally have to be lifting weights 24/7.

Someday when I'm feeling bored I'll probably look for some extra long straps and try this Albini style.

This has absolutely ZERO to do with strength. It is a question of repeated stress on the muscle or tendon, often associated with temporary but repeated lack of blood flow and therefore oxygen to the muscle. This also concentrates cellular waste in the muscle or tendon. The resulting inflammation is ugly. Once this occurs, there is usually an underlying propensity for it to happen again, perhaps more easily. Strength has nothing to do with it, whatsoever.

A lot of us this has nothing to do with muscle. My degenerating discs in my back just can't support the strain, and all my physical therapy and work outs to get the muscles stronger can't do much about standing for 4 hrs with 8lbs slung around your neck... something like this will go a LONG way to allow me to keep playing live.

I didn't know, it was more of a shot in the dark you know.

I have one of these straps but I wish I would have read up on it and ordered it 2-3 inches bigger. It won't wrap around my big o' gut. And when I could get it on at the position I liked, I kept on hitting my bass with my knee.
Got this for my Variax 5 string because of it's weight.
If someone wants to buy it, we can work something out.

Edit - After looking at the belt again, I think that mine is a little different. I don't seem to remember a top strap. I will have to dig it out of the closet and take a look.
