How do you figure out how much space a speaker needs by looking at specs?

There are other things that can be tried first--for example, if your wattage is too high at a 4 ohm load from amp to cab, but your amps wattage at 8 ohms could be doable, you could consider rewiring the cabs (which may be tricky in a 2 driver enclosure.)

What are the wattage specs on the amp at 8, 4 and 2 ohms, what is the wattage and load for your cabinet, and what is the impedance of each driver loaded in the cabs?

If it's more headache, it probably is better to just find different cabs.

Well, the new amp is 400W running on 4 ohm or 8 ohm.

Acoustic 106 is wired as 4 ohm parallel but I don't think it can handle 400W.

Earth cab is wired in series and it's 8 ohm. (Both speakers are 4 ohm)

I'm gonna try to see whether my BW and Eminence can handle the new amp (also sound good) and make the next decision.

but the 106 cab is a theile small designed cab and numerous eminence speakers will work fine

don't listen to nah sayers cause there annoying and have some idea
that aacoustic control apparently didn't know what there doing lol. but they did and the airspace and tuning is fine on the 106.

in fact it basically the same as John k"s 2x15 same airspace and port area. And everyone says how amazing it is lol. but no omg the vintage one won't work lol. And the same old 3cubic feet per driver every company uses for 15s just won't work ohhhh my godddd

To try these cabs with you new amp, wire both cabs in series so they are both 8 Ohm cabs. Set the amp to 4 Ohm and plug one into each of the output jacks. That will give you 4 Ohms total. Each cab will only see half the power, or 200 Watts each cab (with it cranked up pretty high). That or test separately with the switch set to match the impedance of the cab you are testing. Solid state amps are safe to go with speakers = or higher than the amps rating, but tube amps are a little more picky. Best to match it up properly with the speakers rating in ohms.

Can't find specs on the 106, except: Speaker ratings of a 106 2x15 cab. in Equipment Specs, Selection and Usage Forum (indicating a 150 to 200 Watt cab).

On the other cab, I believe the CA154 is rated at 300 watts. See their website for exact details.

Do you know what model the BW is? If not, getting any numbers you can find on it may lead to finding the wattage rating. The same would go for the 106 cab; the numbers may tell the story.

If the Earth cab sounds good and the BW can't be identified or is a bit too weak, maybe get another CA154 and it should handle more than the amps rated output.

Hmm.... that's interesting. I've never thought that highly of my 106 cab because yeah, when I play on E standard, it's great. But I'm trying to play it on A standard. Right now, I just played through my Earth 215 on B standard, but damn, the too much buzz and poopie.

I honestly thought that my port was way too small but now that I think about it, modern cabs' ports are about the same size!!!

I'm gonna call Eminence tomorrow and hopefully, they would recommend me a replacement driver

Well, If I wire Acoustic 106 in series, then it will be 16 ohm because it's wired in parallel right now in 4 ohm. So if I connect 16 ohm and 8 ohm in each of my amp's output jacks, then it would be 5.33 ohm.
