How do you picture yourself as a senior citizen ?

CONGRATS to you!!!!Yeah . . . for me, too!
I'll be 63 on the 29th of July, so I "AM" a senior citizen!
And I continue to be VERY active as a multi-Grammy Award winning recording engineer and as bassist with a popular rock group here in Mexico City . . .
Life is GREAT!
I'm 11 years behind you but doing a fulltime professional job(engineering) and gigging about as much as I did in the 70's and 80's. I agree, life is GREAT and I'm VERY grateful.
My Grandfather, who was active until he passed away in his favorite chair(the way he wanted to go actually) one day, always told folks who asked him:
"WHY DO YOU WALK 6 MILES EVERYDAY AT YOUR AGE?"
He replied:
"It's better to wear out than rust out."
He also did not believe in "retirement". The numbers prove him correct.

I'm guessing I'll be the guy who never leaves his house/apartment, is a bit senile, and spends every waking [there won't be many] hour playing bass. Until my hands give out. Then it's Mr. Colt 45 FTW.

I'll be locked up in a mental institution/home for rambling in incoherent phrases that I swear make sense to me, yet the only person that can follow me is my wife. It's not a whole lot different than now, except-i don't have a wife and i can put together my ideas at least 75% of the time now.

I try not to. Aging is one facet of life that, at 18 years old, I don't want to believe in quite yet.
I want to be like my Acting 260 teacher... even though she isn't really a senior citizen.
Extremely out there. Dyed hair with the gray roots sticking out. Red lipstick that isn't really in the lines of my lips anymore. Shouts obscenities at students for inspiration.

Playing Hearts, drinking gin and enjoying a nice rocking chair wich is pretty much what I do now. I do other sutff, but I enjoy Hearts a lot and have even participated in tournaments. I also have several rocking chairs at home and will sit in them readily by myself for hours doing nothing but looking out the window or reading.

I'm 58 and attended my 40-year high school reunion last weekend. Many of us looked like 58, some looked late 60's, and some looked a bit younger. I was told I'm in the "younger" category.
So far I've been genetically fortunate - no major health problems or disabilities. I plan to keep the weight reasonable, stay active and keep it that way as long as possible. The one thing I don't plan to do is EVER "go fishing". The people who stop being active are often the first to go.
