  1. Well, my name is Hunter, and when people call my name, I hear two types of pronunciations.

    1. HunTer. The "t" in the name is, well, present. Like in the word "banter."

    2. Hunner. The "t" in this name is not there or extremely unstressed. Sounds similar to "gunner" or "runner."

I, myself, switch it up, and say Hunter one day and Hunner the next. All depends on how I feel.
    How do you say it?

...It sounds weird to me to say Hun-TER as a name, but as a profession it sounds right. So depends.

The boy's name Hunter \hu(n)-ter\, also used as girl's name Hunter, is pronounced HUN-ter. It is of Old English origin, and its meaning is "hunter, pursuer". Occupational name. Journalist Hunter Thompson.

I have never in my life heard that name pronounced any other way.
  11. Never heard it pronounced without the T.

A Hunner sounds like a term related to Rangers supporters.
  12. Never heard anyone pronounce it as Hunner.

Yeah, I like to be a rebel and nothing says rebel like a faux German accent.

hmmm, i think i say it as a mix... almost like HunDer. there's still a "T" sound in there but it's not as strong as if i were to say banter.
