How do you store your basses?

I have seven basses. Any two are hanging on the wall. The rest are in their cases. I rotate them every month or two, depending on my mood.

I keep all my guitars and basses on racks so they are ready to grab at a moments notice. If I put them away in cases and don’t see them I tend to not play them as much.

For the longest time, I had no place to store them other than in their cases...in the closet, or under the bed. When the oldest moved out, I got his room to convert it into what amounts to a "Man Cave". Now they hang on wall hangers or on stands in that room. This has made it so much nicer because now, I see them and I want to play them more. Before having them like this, I had a primary bass that got all my love. Now, I will switch back and forth all the time and play them all a little every week.

I have 2 basses, 2 electric guitars, and 2 acoustic guitars. Whatever I've been playing recently goes on the 2 wall hangers in my living room, and the rest are in cases unless I leave them on a stand at the practice space.

Yup, this. I play and practice way more often now that my main 3 are on the wall. I have one bass in storage that I am tempted to add to the wall...

Cases with only one out at a time.

I was living on top of ground zero of the Loma Prieta quake in 1989. I was very lucky in that my room was on the ground floor, as my bass (which was sitting in a stand) stayed in the stand, somehow. Everything on the second story of the house that was higher than a foot off the floor got tossed. As did our chimney and a few of our neighbors homes.

Decades later, I have a few more basses than just the one, so if I'm not playing one it goes into a case.

In a gig bag, or on a stand, sometimes in hard case, also thrown on the couch. Just whatever, really.

All my 5 instruments are in a rack in my music room with the main bass and guitar connected to the pedalboard so I can play as soon I feel like it without messing with putting things on and together. All cases are in the attic so my room doesnt look like a warehouse.
