How do you store your basses?

In cases, on stands, on the workbench, on the bed in the spare bedroom, just about anywhere I have to to make room at the time, doesn't seem to bother them much....

I have a little corner of the Kid’s gaming for my instruments. So I keep them in their cases to keep them from getting ran over. My Precision came with a G&G case, so I store that one on a shelf so the cat doesn’t sharpen her claws on it. Otherwise, my bedroom bass is an older, heavy bubinga Warwick. Indestructible, so I just leave it wherever. In fact, I learned how to repair drywall from all the times it’s been knocked over.

I store my basses in a stand of my own design, which a friend then built for me.
I got tired of storing them around the house.
And like someone said earlier "i use it if I can see it"

A combination of stands and wall hangers. I try to reserve the wall hangers for lighter instruments like acoustics and hollowbodies but I had to make an exception for my HEAVY T-bird as it won't fit into any of my stands.

Before I got an electric humidifier I kept all my acoustics inside cases with sponge/gel humidifiers during the dry winter months but I don't like storing basses (or guitars) in cases. I want them easily accessible and ready to PLAY.

Cases 99% of the time when not played, occasionnally I'll have one on a stand, just for eye candy.

In gig bags on a multi level shelving system. The access ones hang of the shelves in gig bags.
I also keep a couple in my Enki cases.

On a gtr rack. I like them out in the open, never in bags or cases, never in direct sunlight. I rotate them frequently.

Both my basses and my guitar are in hard cases. I've never been a fan of dings or other damage and I dislike having to dust and clean them.

It's a combination. Many live in their gigbags. (I don't even own a hard case.) Some are hanging on wall hangers in my jam room. A couple are leaning against something inside the house or in the jam room.

My #1 (SBMM Ray5) and #2 (Ibanez AEB5E) basses are on stands in my bedroom. My #3 (Schecter Raiden Special-4) is in a gig bag in my closet. It comes out from time to time.

I like to have my basses out so I can admire them and play them when I get a minute.

Cases live in the bedroom. When basses are in them the muffled sounds of their crying keeps me awake, so they live on stands and I just sort of live around them.View attachment 4721842

Currently I have 3 sitting in one of those inline stands that holds like 6 basses. l keep them covered with a blanket bc we're a 6 person, 2 dog, 3 cat, 1 bird household so it gets REALLY dusty and hairy.

I keep one in its hard case bc it's the newest to me and I'm trying to keep it minty. Stingray Special 5HH

I also have one at our practice space (guitarist's house) that is kept on a stand.
