how does the mec active streamer soapbar compare to the emg e pickups

since both are the only active soapbar in p2 size, i wanna know how they compare before putting them in a bubinga and ash mixed body, and a bubinga with panga panga or wenge neck (i forgot but tonallity and lookwise they are very simmilar to me so hard to tell), i already modded a lhz in, about 1-2 years ago.
which one would work better in the context of metal?

Don’t quote me on this as I’m FAR from being an expert but the active MEC pickups that I’ve played always struck me as striving to sound like EMGs. They have, to my ear, a slightly brighter sound whereas EMGs sound a little more even or smoother. I’m splitting hairs, though; to me they both seem to be in the same ballpark.

Don't quote him on this, but I think he is correct. I HAVE replaced mec's before because the EMG's have more upfront energy. It's similarish, but the mec's were lacking / swamped really, in a band environment.
If it were me, I would do it again. If I was playing a lot of metal, I would probably look at getting EMG's fitted before I even picked it up, including the eq. Ceramic's is my fave magnerenter for serious "my eyes...MY EYES!" territory.
In the end - and to be annoying, I believe you know already, as you are putting it out there...here.
A Bubinga or wenge, laminated with a real Panda!?...it should blow your socks off.
