How is the Ampeg SVT-210HE "voiced"?

Ampeg SVT-210HE owners - where are you? :help: :)
The Ampeg SVT-210HE is very rare in Sweden, but now I have (finally) spotted one. It is however far from where I live, so I have no chance to try it. Can anyone tell me a bit about its "voicing"? As far as I can see in older Ampeg catalogues, it is vented and does NOT share 10" drivers with any other SVT model? (Seems these are cast frame, just like the PR series...)

Feel free to use any of the below cabinets for reference, as I am very familiar with them:
EBS ProLine 410
Eminence Deltalite II 2510 (loaded in an EBS ProLine 210)
Ampeg SVT-410HLF

I have one. It's a ported cab, has a tweeter with a 3-position switch (off, halfway up, all the way up) and it sounds pretty much like you'd expect an Ampeg to sound: round, clean in an organic way, can sound dirty if you want it to, its got a certain "character" that is quite pleasing if thats the kind of sound you like.

Being a 2x10, it's not a beast like the 410 HLF and 8x10. Its 8 ohms and handles 200 watts so it makes a good cab to beef up a lower-powered combo or to pair up with smaller heads that deliver less than 200 watts at 8ohms, like the Micro VR, Walkabout, GK 400 RB and the like. I'm running it with an old GK 400RB and, if your band/project isn't too loud, it makes a great rig for local gigging in small-ish places with no PA support or medium-places with more PA support.

I don't know if this is part of the "Ampeg sound" or just due to the fact that theoretically its not designed to be a standalone, but at the volume levels of a loud band or a loud drummer, the cab can start to sound a bit "squishy", for lack of a better word. I may eventually add a second cab at some point for my louder gigs.

Overall a good cab and a worthy purchase if the price is right (paid mine $250 CAN), but if you're planning on having walls of low-end, make sure you've got a second cab to go with it or look into something more powerful overall. Hope this helps.

Interesting to hear - I had imagined there would be a significant difference in tone between the 210HE and 410HE, given that both enclosure type and 10" driver model differs.

My intention is (mainly) to put it on top of an SVT-410HLF to get some sound closer to my ears, but also as a single cabinet for small gigs. For both scenarios a cabinet with good mids would be nice, especially since the 410HLF is a bit scooped. (If used with the 410, I would run these cabinets from separate channels in my poweramp to balance power.)
