How is this finish achieved?

I'm really curious about how to achieve a finish like this.

It's called a Ceruse finish. Here's one person's technique.

It's called ceruse. In this particular example, the guitar is sprayed white over raw wood, or a light seal coat. Then a black pigmented pore-filler is rubbed into the pores, to create contrast.

A more common application is like this:

Wherein the black pore-filler is added first, then the whole thing is dyed red, then clear-coated.

You need a wood with wide, open pores. Ash is typically used for ceruse.

I didn't know how to get that large part of the wood looking white. But after googling "ceruse" I got to the conclusion that, in my country, this material would be found as "Albayalde".
