I'm in the 11-12k range.
I had hearing loss before I was a musician, from early childhood. I've never been in the upper reaches and playing loud music for years without protection I'm sure never helped. Of course, I don't know that its really gotten worse than it was, given the attenuation I already have.
Hmm. A similar situation with me...
I'm nearly 58 years old, and just tested out with an upper limit at about 12k - with a pair of ear buds plugged into a MacBook Pro. But like BurningSkies, I had hearing problems in early childhood, having been born with some congenital defects that required correction with surgery when I was about six years old. So it's just possible that I've never had a completely normal range of hearing - though I've passed every hearing test since childhood with flying colors.
Go figure...
