How long do your gigs last.

15 to 30 minutes generally, depending on position on the bill. ~20 is perfect IMO, if we aren't headlining

Next gig is a festival and our slot is 40 minutes, I'll be surprised if we play that long

Here in Northeast Wisconsin we play
3 / 1 hour sets with 30 minutes in between = 4hour gig
As of the last few years because most don’t say out long the first set ends up being closer to 90 minutes giving us a short last set

Three hours, and early. 8-11, 9-12 max. That’s in my very small world. We even have a twice monthly gig that goes 5-8 pm on Sunday afternoon. I’m way too old for the 9 to 1am bar gigs.

I’m most used to three or four sets, 50 minutes of music with a 10 minute break between for a typical club date.

Functions and festivals are whatever the terms of the contract say. Function dates are usually longer sets but with longer breaks since you’ll usually play before and after all the presentations, awards and speeches. So if you’re booked for a function to play till midnight, and the podium blathering runs way overtime as it usually does, that’ll cut back on your set times following it.

Hi, I'm in England and generally a pub/bar gig would consist of two sets of 45 minutes to 1 hour each with a 15 - 20 minute break. I've noticed some people here do gigs of up to four hours, what is usual in your part of the world.

All gigs are different. I do 4x 45 minute sets, 1x 3 hour set, 1x 90 minute set, 2x 45 minute sets, 3x 45 minute sets, 1x 40 minute set, the list goes on, really.

Two 50 minute sets. We generally have a 3 hour spot and pay someone to fill the first hour.

When I was in cover bands in Florida (30-ish years ago), 3 to 4 sets of 45 to 60 minutes were expected with 15 to 20 minutes breaks between.
In original bands in Los Angeles for the last 10 years, sets of 30 to 45 minutes have been my experience. We did occasionally get longer sets, but that was when we booked the gigs ourselves and were generally not in typical clubs.

When I play with good musicians, not long enough. But, when I play with musicians that don’t listen the gig lasts for eternity.

Typically 2 sets. First one around 60 - 70 minutes 20ish minute break and then the second set will usually be an hour and a half to 2 hours. After that the crowd determines how many more we do after a 5 minute break, but usually 2 more songs.

There's a couple places we play where things go later (3am closing time) so we'll do 3 sets of about 75 - 80 minutes each...

I like to play too, but talk about not leaving anything on stage...and then having to load out...

One of the reasons I moved to IEMs and went ampless. I can set up and break down in about ten minutes. Total. The drummer sure gets a workout though.

Gigs range from single 25-40 minute Fundraising/Festival sets with multiple other bands, 1 hour showcase sets with 1-3 other bands or 3-4 hour gigs with at least 3 sets, usually two long and a shorter one to close.

1 hr to 3 1/2 hrs. Pay is all over the place too. Depends on situation really. Certainly no hard formula.
