how long have you played bass

Well, I started in '90. I have been piddling around the house for about 10 years, playing the occasional studio session, and learning tunes through my iPod....but, hopefully, after my divorce, I will have more of a chance to get out there...at least play with other musicians..it's not always easy to make a bass sound great by yourself.

I started playing Bass in 1967 and started playing professionally (for money) in 1969

The oldest picture I've got 1971 I'm the guy with the long hair & mutton chops.

When I was fourteen I used the first hundred dollar bill I ever owned to put a peavey milestone p bass on layaway, been going strong for 15 years. All my friends parents had bought them guitars already, but no one had a bass and we wanted to start having bands, as the one kid with a job it fell to me to pick up the low end. I'm really glad it turned out this way though, I play guitar now also but will always be a bassist first and foremost.
