How long is your commute to band practice?

for 4 years it was a three hour drive two to three times a week. Boo to that I say, Boo!

It used to take me 30 minutes...now it's 12 steps or 3 seconds. We practice at my house now... Much more convenient.

They live in Houston, I live in boonieland.
We've rehearsed a few times in 4 years. Most songs are put together via emailing bits, parts, songs and played at jobs. When everyone's been doing music stuff for 30~40 years, this can be done.

It usually takes me 2 1/2 to 3 hours to get there . . . I live the farthest of all the players in our group . . .

I dont think I could play ina band where I had to commute that far. I wouldnt even date a girl that lived that far away.

It takes me 10 minutes to get to practice, and only cuz I have to go around a hill.

I quit my last band basically cuz the commute wasn't worth dealing with the spanish(im not racist but the rest of my bandmates were mexican and routinely talked amongst each other in spanish with me in the room, which is very rude imo) and the douchy singer, I hadta drive about 45 minutes with a toll to practice, as a fulltime student with an unreliable car I couldn't do it so I quit. Band im in now does payed bar gigs and practices 15 minutes away and I hang out with my bandmates outside of band stuff and i have a new car(lol) so its a much better situation.

I play drums in one band (trio) and bass in another (duo). It's just easier for them to gather and practice where I practice which is in my basement....

45 minutes 1-way. Luckily we've all played for alot of years and practices aren't too often. Mostly to learn new songs or if we've had a long layoff between gigs. Not really a big deal since our keyboard player has a killer party room/s above his shop. Usually doesn't feel like a practice since we play parties there from time to time.

10 minutes if we practice at my guitarists house, 1 hr 15 min if we practice at my drummer's. 1/2 the band lives here, the other half lives in Indy so we split practices so no one has to drive all the time. Drummer has two sets keeps on at each practice space.

11 steps to my basement...and I couldn't be happier. I live on the Canadian prairies, and not having to haul gear at -40 is sweet!!

I was recently in 2 other bands and the drive was 20 minutes for one, and 25 for the other...it really sucked in winter compared to the band that rehearses in my basement. It even sucked in summer, but then again, I'm spoiled...my commute to work for the last 28 years has never exceeded 10 minutes!!

I'm 35-40 minutes away, occasionally more if I hit traffic which as it's the end of rush hour does happen. It still beats the other band that I'm in that has never had a full rehearsal.
