There are a dozen threads asking how many basses people here currently have. I am curious to know how many amps people currently have.

Three, all DIY jobs. My rationale is one for EUB (or hopefully AUB eventually), one for BG, and one for utility purposes now that I no longer have a complete PA. I like running stereo or clean/dirty setups sometimes as well.

This excludes cabs. That would be another topic for another day.
Current ownership only, please. Not a laundry list of every amp you have ever owned.

2 and I'm thinking of selling 1.

Mesa Subway D800 w/2x15 Mesa Subway Cabinet
Ampeg V4B w/8x10 Ampeg Classic Cabinet
Fender Rumble 500 2x10 Combo w/2x10 Fender Rumble Cabinet (Vertical 4x10 stack)
Ampeg BA-115 Combo (Leave at rehearsal space)
Carvin BA-115 Cabinet (Sold the Carvin BX1200 head.... looking for something to pair to this...maybe GK head?)

One for bass - a Traynor YGL-3A head (into a Hartke Transporter 2x10 and a beat-up EV 2x12).

One for guitar - a (Fryette) VHT Pittbull 100CL (into a Peavey 4x12 with Sheffields).

And one Line6 Flextone HD 100W head that I bought before I knew any better. It actually works ok for certain live applications but I mostly use it for direct recording and extra effects. Clean tones are alright, effects get the job done, distortion modeling sounds horrible.

I need to change my vote to crazy cat lady.

One main head, one main cab. One secondary cab (both are 8 ohm, I can run them together, when I want to).

But the second cab isn't running the same driver as main and isn't nearly as efficient or good, so it's only to spread out sound, not for more volume. I specifically use it to plunk beside my drummer, while my main cab goes behind me.

Of course then I also have my rack power amp, and that can drive both cabs also (with stereo amp outs so there is a volume advantage in running both cabs this time), and I use that when I am running with emulated amps (gr-55 etc).

So I answered 2-3 ... cuz I guess it's one, but a second thing that isn't a traditional amp, and then the oddball combos of components for my specific needs.

No There is a tonal difference between them and even at 60 I don't mind moving them if I need to use them. Aand also just so if I say I am going to use my SVT because a couple of the groups that I play with prefer the sound. I have a back up just in case. I have had both SVT's for quite a while had them into the tube head DR when I first got them put many hours on them and have only had one oops so far and that was a tube that went bad.

This is basically my thought process behind my setup as well - an EA doubler for upright gigs, my Science Mother for electric gigs, and an amp (or five) for other purposes. My "other purposes" bucket is overflowing a bit at the moment though...

Either 5 or "lots", depending...

Travel option: Amplug Bass + microcab
Combo: TC BG250-208
DI: Radial Bassbone OD
Analogue modeller: Sansamp Classic
Digital modeller: Atomic Amplifire.

Does the Amplifire count as one, the number of models, or the total number of presets (including different cab tunings) configured? Asking for a friend...
