It’s a 79 Musicman Sabre. I also have one that’s black and almost mint but that one has been played for years and it shows.... and I love it. Its like the necks warn down in all the right places.

Lots of love for Peavey and Eden here! I havent played through any new ones, but I really loves the voicing of the older ones (TVX, TXF series)

I just use a DI as a backup, the Peavey for practice when I don't wanna haul the full rig, and the Yamaha for silent stuff and campfire playing.

Gallien Krueger MB500 on TC electronic 212 and hartke 410 the one with the alu cones.
Which sounds pisspoor on the ashdown but is a perfect match with the GK.
GK and 212 are enough on average.
With the 410 added you have a bassplayer and some other guys unclear what they actually do on stage.

Small 20 watt guitar amp.
Used for keyboard at home
Randall? 100 watt guitar amp.
And Yamaha stagepass 600.

I'm the idiot that bought all the gear for the band.

I am currently negotiating for two different bass heads

It has me wondering what I'm missing about certain amps I've never owned. But in the back of my head I also know that I don't like what a lot of other people like.
The collections are interesting and unexpected. Clearly SS and class D has won over tubes. And certain brands are for more popular than I had thought while there are some in a very small minority.
I was also expecting the ampless numbers to be higher. People here talk a lot about it, but the numbers say that very few people have completely divorced themselves from amps.

I have three rigs, all Mesa Boogies: Bass 400, Strategy 8:88, Walkabout.

The Bass 400 and a 215, bought the 400 back in 91 with my graduation $, and it was my main rig for two decades. I had bought various other rigs during that time, but nothing else tonally satisfied.
By 2012 I had put what seems a million miles on the old Boogie and I needed more headroom and better speakers, experimented with others still not satified. Finally Boogie came out with that big Strategy 8:88. That head and two PH212 cabs and I was set...finally same sound just more of it for modern world.

That former original band finally had its wheels fall off after 15 years, and I found a different gig in the casino cover circut.
However both of my rigs were way overkill for these venues and admittedly a waste of tube life turning them on when I can barely crack open the volume knobs.
So rig #3 became a Walkabout head and two PH210 cabs. Its 'small' enough that I can get it cookin in its sweet spot. And when I have a gig that needs more, I can bring either of my two larger rigs.
