It is actually pretty awesome. I'm not playing in a doom\stoner band any more. It fits the weird groove\thrash\death thing I am doing now very well. There is a lot of control over the drive channel. The built in compressor is decent, sort of like the compressor in the M9.
The headphone out with IR capability works as advertised. The stock IRs are not what I wanted, but using the Darkglass software and a USB cable I can load my own IRs. Pretty nifty. Now I use the HP out with a set of Shure e215 IEMs for stage monitoring. Works fine for practice. Haven't tried it live yet. Might need to get a wireless setup.

Nice! That's going on the short list for a lightweight rig. The control over the drive and the cab sim were what drew me in. Had no idea more could be loaded in.

How's that bassman ten? Does it handle gigs? Been curious about them for a while now.

The subway 215 is epic as far as tone and output, it's easy to handle, lift, load, roll. it requires very little effort.

Nice! Good to know! I am confident of the sound for sure, but was curious if the added size over the 212 would be more beneficial for moving it.

I currently have an older mesa PH 212 and love it, but man moving it can be a pain at times. Thanks a ton for the reply, now to set aside the funds.

I have a nice, yet managable 4 or 6. Depends on counting the Special 130 combo as a bass amp (I do use it for Bass VI) and the Bassman Ten combo as a bass amp--I did tweaks to it so it would be a better guitar amp, but it also makes a fine low to moderate volume Bass VI amp.

I answered "crazy cat lady of amps", I guess I should clarify. I have 4 bass amps and several guitar amps (four or five I think). Mostly these were remnants from my father who used Fender amps since the '60s and I'm kind of holding on to them since he passed in 2010.

Ironically I don't use an amp most of the time preferring to play direct to the board through a preamp and IEM system.
