Cliff Burton passed away 33 years ago (September 27 1986) and this one was put up for sale today, I had the $$$ so this is your typical case of "stars aligning" etc.

Looks like I'm a late starter, in the N+1 Formula:

    1) 1981 Carvin LB50 Koa, Stereo (I custom ordered this one, in high school, before Koa was offered on basses)
    2) 2004 Fender American Standard Precision, Candy Apple Red/Black, Maple fretboard
    3) 2015 Rickenbacker 4003, Fireglo
    4)

  5. Back down to 2
    1) G&L SB-2
    2) Squier Affinty P Bass where the fret wire in my profile pic came from.

Recently went from 3 to 4.

    Fender Highway One Precision (flats)
Fender Player Precision (rounds) -> that's the new one
    EBMM Stingray 3 bander (rounds)
    EBMM Stingray 2 bander (flats)

All is right now, I have a ying for every yang. Phew, I could barely stand to have an uneven number of basses for a few months.

Anyways, the Player P I got is a great specimen, and the usual upgrades are on the way (EMG GZR, 70s vintage Fender bridge and Hipshot HB7 eventually as the last upgrade).

I have but one and it's definitely an Ox. Ibanez SoundGear bass with the electronics gutted and replaced with a P-Bass pickup (Fernandes) and P-Bass electronics.

You could say it is a Jazz with a Precision body. :) It's a Custom Shop Postmodern; '59 P-bass body (flame maple top) and hand wound '62 pup, with a roasted maple '60 J-bass neck.
