Cliff Burton passed away 33 years ago (September 27 1986) and this one was put up for sale today, I had the $$$ so this is your typical case of "stars aligning" etc.

Recently went from 3 to 4.

All is right now, I have a ying for every yang. Phew, I could barely stand to have an uneven number of basses for a few months.

Anyways, the Player P I got is a great specimen, and the usual upgrades are on the way (EMG GZR, 70s vintage Fender bridge and Hipshot HB7 eventually as the last upgrade).

I have but one and it's definitely an Ox. Ibanez SoundGear bass with the electronics gutted and replaced with a P-Bass pickup (Fernandes) and P-Bass electronics.

You could say it is a Jazz with a Precision body. It's a Custom Shop Postmodern; '59 P-bass body (flame maple top) and hand wound '62 pup, with a roasted maple '60 J-bass neck.
