For about ten years I had only two (Warwick Corvette $$ 5-string, Line 6 Variax 4-string). Then I sold them in 2017 when my life was turned upside down due to financial fraud. I thought I was done with music at that point. But of course once a musician, always a musician, so a couple of years later I felt that itch again.

Now I'm at four basses:

Music Man Bongo HH 5-string (Firemist Gold)
Fender Mustang PJ (Surf Pearl)
Ibanez SRH500F Aerium fretless 4-string
Samick Greg Bennett Corsair MCR-1 (black) (This one is still on its way since it's back-ordered)

I think it's going to stay at just four for a while, since I've got all my bass needs covered for now.

Sorry about the fraud, but way to bounce back!

After all the years I've been here @TalkBass, I've finally made it into the 10-20 club -- for better and worse! Newest: phaux Phender stack knob J5 built by hand by a local friend.

I've had it a few months now but forgot to update this thread.

Oh... the bass is genuine seafoam green, but my phone camera turns it blue under indoor light. :(

I got me a Butter Cream Fender Jazz in the mail today. I’ve been playing bass for almost 30 years and this is my first Jazz! I also bought a roasted maple Fender neck for it that I have to put on.

I have medical issues so I cannot play out anymore, so over the last year I’ve really stepped up my equipment game to give me something to do.
