And then there were two! I just shipped my Ibanez Roadstar II RB630 off to another TB member. I liked the bass a lot but I'm saving for a 5er and so I cleared it out.

Current stable:

Schecter Raiden Special-4 tuned BEAD with D'Addario XLs
Ibanez AEB5E acoustic with La Bella White Nylon Tapes

The bass I'm saving for right now is a Schecter Stiletto Stealth 5.

With the money the insurance gave me for my stolen acoustic Tanglewood, I bought :

TAB 1 CE XB instead of the TAB 155 A.

Turns out, I have 7 bass guitars, a bass uke, and a bass banjo. Not including the tubas.

I thought I was done with 2. A 4 and a 5... Lakland 44-01 and a Yamaha BB235.

But I had been gassing for Jazz lately. So... I picked up smoking deal on a FSR Squier Jazz in Charcoal Frost. So, I'm back to 3.

I thought I would be able to reduce the number of basses I own if I bought a Yamaha 5-string PJ to replace my 4-string Fender P and my 5-string Washburn.

But it hasn't worked out.

I feel I can't let go of the Fender. It's on the market, but I want to take it off. I'm afraid I'll regret it if I sell it. My first bass was a Fender P. And now, when it comes down to it, I feel being without one would be like losing a family member.

By the way, my 'family' has six members.

Letting the Washburn go I can see, but not the P bass.
I too started out on a PBass. It was made in Mexico late 90’s Fender in Maroon wine red, rosewood fingerboard . My main players are now 5 stings as I like the feel and need the low B. But I always keep a PBass with flats in my arsenal . My favorite PBass is the original Squier CLassic Vibe 60’s with TI Flats. I’ve owned 7 of these and realized I needed to stop selling them off. It’s not my main player but it’s there when I need and desire what only a good PBass can do.
You probably will regret if you sell your PBass. The Yamaha BB’s are great basses. But so is the simple PBass.

Eyes open for a cheap P Bass, might grab another HB as impressed with those. JB75 is my go to bass for band practice, love the feel and the weight too.

Precision is essential, jazz is really nice.
