I've been learning bass a little over a month. I'm into sub-short scale to play with ukulele group. Before I even started I bought a Gold Tone GT MicroBass and ordered a custom u-bass from my ukulele builder in Vietnam. And after being prompted by posts on TB, I converted an Epiphone Les Paul Express 22" scale guitar to a bass. So one month in I have three sub-short scale.

One banjo
One mandolin
One keyboard
One classical guitar
One standard flute
Two native american flutes
Four electric guitars
Four Recorders (including a beastly Tenor)
Six or seven diatonic flutes
Too many tin whistles to count

But still just one bass :(
And I need to get a Cello before I can justify another :(

Eight (well actually nine but one's for sale and I hope to sell it today):
-Fender Jazz Bass (1966)
-De Gier Bebop 5 (2013)
-Fender Road Worn Precision Bass (2009)
-Fender Standard Jazz Bass fretless (2002)
-Blade B2 Tetra Bass (2001)
-Yamaha BB N5II (2001)
-Eko BA4 fretless (1987)
-Warwick Triumph (1981)

Six, at present:

  • GB Guitars Rumour 4
  • EBMM Stingray
  • EBMM Stingray (fretless)
  • Yamaha TRB4 35"
  • Hohner "cricket bat" knock-off (actually, it's really nice)
  • Columbus P knock-off (really nasty, but sounds awesome)

It seems kinda criminal that I have a bunch of (mostly!) lovely basses considering none get the love and attention they deserve and my playing is consequently a bit ropey at the moment. :(

Ok this is my first post on this forum so forgive me if I screw up... Anyways I presently have three basses: 2011 Rickenbacker 4003 Jetglo
2013 Rickenbacker 4004L Snowglo
2010 Fender Jazz 75 AVRI
Well things certainly change in a hurry!!!! It's now four... Just came home from LA Music in Mississauga with a brand new Musicman Stingray Classic. Can't wait till my wife notices another bass case...oh well I'm happy.
