I'm down to 12. 12 basses, 5 amps, 2 Boss ME-50B's and an entire filing cabinet full of parts.

However, a big part of my problem, is that I can't say no to a deal, and I have multiples of the same bass.
Yep. Hard to pass up a good deal, whether you need it or not...
i have 5, a zon sonus, a musicman stingray 5, a warwick nt streamer, a fender jazz and a godin bg4 ... i had 8 and would probably have at least 20 if i could afford them, there are at least 10 i want off the top of my head
I own 4 basses:
Warwick Thumb, Custom Tobias, Fender P bass, Epiphone ebm5ch.
I also have a sweet '69 Fender Jazz and a pulverized Washburn on "permanent loan."

When the last one arrives, it'll be 8, and they all have their own purpose. A Fodera, Fender J, Fender P, Squier Fretless, Rickenbacker 4001, Schecter 5 string, Mike Rowan Revelator, and a Carl Thompson on the way. As far as my needs go, with these I have all my bases covered, so to speak.
One at the moment, but I am looking for a 5 string fretless. I haven't narrowed it down enough to make a final decision.

I have two GK 800RBs, one newer one, and one older one with the red lights. An Eden 212, and a Traynor 2x15.
Guitar-wise, I have two early '80s MIJ BC Rich Waves, two Squier Venuses, and two GPC Guitarpunk Standards I play through a Sunn Beta Lead and a Kustom Lead 4x12.
I also have a million pedals, but I don't use any of them!

I don't know how you guys do it. I only have 2, and one of them is the first 'real' bass I bought back in high school ('93?). Both are cheap (80s Carvin and SX)! I am building a third, though... but I plan to replace the SX with that one.
I do understand collections and obsessions, but I don't know how some of you can afford all those basses! Are you independently wealthy?

The first bass I ever bought brand new was an American Standard J-Bass (the boner one.) After a month of layaway + Ramen (and oatmeal) eating, it was all mine... except I couldn't afford the case until the next month.
If you truly are into something, you will find a way. It helped me that in the nineties, a lot of today's "vintage" basses were still "used."
