NOT ENOUGH!! 10 tops... Personnel problems. Just last night we got another full-time sax player after our former sax player became our drummer because we... fired the drummer... just a few years ago I was doing 50 to 100 shows a year (half on trumpet). It's really tapered off lately and I don't like it. Playing music for people is really the only worthwhile thing in my life other than my friends and family, so I like to do it frequently.

If anyone is in the Boston area we're at Sally O'Brien's in Somerville tonight! We got a monthly.

120 gigs with 9 different bands. I dumped the house bass position at a jam and another monthly house gig at the start of this year. The quantity of gigs for this coming year may be smaller but will pay better.

Fifty-eight with seven different acts. A manageable amount overall but there were a few crazy times that I don't want to repeat. There was one ten day period in July with eight gigs with four bands. In the middle of that was four days straight with four different bands in two countries.

18 currently booked for 2019. The way things are looking, I'll probably end up doing 40 or so over the course of the year which is fine with me.
