How many metal bass players use a 6 string or more?

I play a 6-string bass almost exclusively, and I play hard rock/metal.

I don't use all six strings for every song, but I use them all at some point, and I love the tones on my Spector and my Schecter.

I've gigged my 8-string (unpaired) once or twice too, but it felt too bulky for me. (I'm trying to dig up a pic as we speak)

I've got a Ken Smith 6-string, wich sounds like hell whenever I wanna play heavy metal or any kind of rock'n'roll.
I must say that an amp can make a whole difference, though. I could use a G&L and play it through a Galleon Krugger and still, it would sound heavy and "cozy" for metal beats.

Why concern yourself with what other players are doing? Just do your thing and have fun!

For the record, I play metal, currently using a 5string, about to get my first 6string. More for chordal stuff rather than melodic stuff.
