A little EQ in the right places can really make your bass shine. For my P bass I cut at 315Hz (Q 4) and boost at 2Khz (Q 0.5). Without the EQ the bass sounds dull. With the EQ the sound is much more focussed.
Three - Boss BB-1X Bass Driver, Boss BC-1X Bass Comp, and a Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor, all in a Boss BCB-30 pedalboard. Also a Behringer BDI-21 as a backup in case something should go wrong at a gig.
Five (tuner, compressor, fuzz, drive, chorus), but with room for one more on the board. Looking to get a cool little synth pedal, like the Dirty Robot.
Way way too many (100+ total). I have a weakness for good deals on pedals that make weird noises. My board usually has about 10-14 including some kind of switcher.
How many pedals do I own? Too many. My guitar board is crammed. And it changes according to my whim. I have severe GAS. But I don’t play guitar in bands, just for my own enjoyment. But for the bass, where I do play in a band, I have a tuner, compressor, envelope filter and Sansamp. That’s it, that’s all.
I take the Boss GT-1B, Korg Pitchblack tuner and Behringer BDI-21 to gigs. I don’t use the BDI-21 anymore as it kinda hides the natural sound of my basses but it’s gives an excellent tube sound and has a DI incase my amp dies and I need to DI directly into the PA.
I can’t vote cuz 0 is not an option I’ve got the perfect bass, string, amp, cab combo to make my ideal tone!
I currently own 5 pedals on my pedalboard and 1 multi-effects processor. I normally use my multi-effects processor for home practice, but I sometimes use it for ampless recordings and live performances.
In addition to the 15 pictured here on my main pedalboard, I have 3 others that either don't quite fit my current needs or don't quite work (!). So 18 total.
