73 Jazz,59 P Bass, 64 P Bass & 57 P Bass...all amazing basses.. The red P Bass is a really fine bass guitar...just the perfect P Bass..

The irony is that after the suicide it is very difficult to ask for clarifications, though, in the case of the cartoon featured, it may not be an issue.
my '65 BASS V is a rare cusp model in that it was Leo's lass Fender bass design yet CBS was technically the new owners as production was already rolling along. whether or not my bass has lingering traces of Leo's DNA on it or not I'll never know but when I finally get the neck warp dealt with I'd have no issues gigging it ...with an armed guard. I have a pic from decades ago but no scanner, you'll have to trust me lol
Probably a sum of its parts (the chrome + the perfect tort + the perfect burst) but I'm always amazed at how much more pleasing to the eyes these old Jazzes are compared to modern offerings. The angles are just so right on. Thanks for sharing, really awe inspiring!...one of my dad's basses... he's the original owner of this '61 Jazz bass. I've had the honor to play it a number of times. It lives up to it's reputation.
