My first bass was an Ibanez Soundgear. Loved it to death. A very fun, playable bass. Still have it stowed away somewhere. I played it up until a few years ago when my parents moved and haven't tracked it down since. I was practically bassless for years until I bought a new one this month. Good to be back.

Well,my second bass is a Soundgear.

Never really put it away.

Loaned mine to the guitarist and eventually did a "swap" for his Peavey starter guitar. I kept the Peavey to this day...the other bass mysteriously went missing, must have just walked to that pawn shop on its own lol

I still play my first bass regularly (a Warwick RockBass Corvette) as I now use it for C F A# D# tuning, but it still makes me feel like I've dome a long way!

No, not really. My first basses were determined by what I could afford. Cheap was the key.

Now, looking back at my record collection....
