How much is too much tension?

Bass in question, MIM jazz bass 1998. Finally found the strings to give me the tone I'm after. Been using Ghs precision flats for a while but stepped up to the 55-105's from the 44-105's. I like how they feel and don't seem to be damaging the neck but at just under 230 lbs total tension is it too much long term for the jazz neck? Setup was easy with these strings but I did have to crank that truss rod quite a bit. Any one use these strings long term.

You shouldn't have a problem if there's nothing wrong with the neck. If it's not structurally sound in some way, you'll know. You're tuning strings to their intended pitches. Nothing is gonna be too heavy unless you're tuning them higher than they're supposed to be.

Thank you for your responses, I do appreciate it. I do use 77's in 45-105 on my p bass and that's actually surprising for me to see the tension weight you posted. They feel a lot more supple under my fingers than those figures would suggest.
