Double Bass How much louder?

I've got a Micro 300 and a Wizzy M-line. The last gig we did got fairly loud. I felt a bit underpowered. How much extra volume do you get from adding another speaker? If I added a Wizzy 10 or an AI Ten2 EX would it be noticeably louder at the same settings?

I have a Micro/Wizzy10 setup and also some experience working with an AI Ten2 combo.

An additional speaker will make a difference in volume, but speaker cab efficiency will affect how much louder.

The Ten2 EX (a relatively low efficiency cab) would add a little more volume and certainly more depth. Another Wizzy 10 (a high efficiency cab) would add more volume and a little more depth.

Cost might also be a factor with the Wizzy 10 selling for less than the Ten2...and there are Wizzy 10 cabs on the used market regularly, since they seem to be an acquired taste that some players don't bond with.

My experience causes me to be a proponent of the two identical cabs stacked club. I'm sure there is a good reason, driver coupling or some technical voodoo that promotes it, but I just find the solid results make it the way to go. A second cab means you're moving twice as much air as one. That's a lot.

Two non-identical cabs means you can EQ for one OR the other. Two identical cabs just makes more sense to me.
