How old is TalkBass?

I was talking to my buddy about the demographic of TB and was speculating as to what the average age of a Talk Bassist is.

Why do you think the average is what it is?

What makes TB attract the guys and gals that it does?

I'm glad there is .... at first I answered what I guessed was the average age of TB'ers. Only after my fourth cup of coffee did I realize the poll was asking for my age

On another thread a couple days ago several of us realized we were all 46. At least 5 or 6 guys. A few others chimed in that they were about to turn 46 or had just turned 47.

Kinda odd.

I'd link to it, but I honestly don't remember what thread it was.

This isn't because I'm getting foggy in my memory; it's because when you get to be 46 you are so wise and full of knowledge your brain will no longer hold information that isn't utterly vital to your continued way of life.

62 here but I hardly consider myself a master. My son is 20 and studied bass , stand up , and tuba for four years at an arts oriented high school and can absolutely smoke me on the thing. Now,,,, get off my lawn.

The kids are all about Twitter, vine, and Instagram. Forums are for the older people 40 and up would be my guess. A few younger people pop by but I don't think they linger.
