How superstitious are you?

I was just going to do something (plant a tree) but I was just a tiny bit concerned that the location would be right, whether I had enough motivation to dig the hole twice the size, mix the dirt with whatever that stuff is - compost? I'd have to go get the compost - pain in the butt.

In order to decide if I would do this, I flipped a coin 3 times and called "heads" each time. I got tails all 3 times. Now, I think I'm not going to plant the tree. I guess you could call this superstitious. I'm kinda bumed but I guess that tree was not meant to be planted today.

I won't walk under a ladder...ever.

Friday the 13th doesn't really get to me that much.

Are you superstitious about certain things?

I knock on wood.

The ladder thing doesn't bug me so much, but breaking mirrors does.

I also don't walk on graves, but that may just be a respect thing.

Weird. I could break mirrors all day long, but not ever walk under a ladder.

Graves? What's supposed to happen to you if you walk on a grave? Bad luck? Thanks for the tip even though I don't remember a time of even having to stop at a graveyard and go "oh man, can't walk on that".

I'm just about to get off a "seven years bad luck" sentence now. Considering how my life has been going, I'ma just assume the mirror thing is true, just in case.

I think walking on someone's grave is supposed to invite a haunting...

Very superstitious, writings on the wall,
Very superstitious, ladders bout to fall,
Thirteen month old baby, broke the lookin glass
Seven years of bad luck, the good things in your past.

When you believe in things that you dont understand,
Then you suffer,
Superstition aint the way.

It's just a respect thing, not necessarily bad luck I don't think.... My mom & grandmother used to get ticked when I was a little kid and we would go to my grandfathers gravesite. Me and my brother would always be running around playing "Smear the Queer" & whatnot...:p I kinda carried that over fom them...

I totally knock on wood.....

My wife is of Mexican decent and is all about burning candles and whatnot..... She mentioned that when they were younger that her grandmother was "La Culandera"(something like that I'm not even sure of the spelling?...)... And rubbed eggs on them when they were sick and burned candles, etc.... She also said the she was crazy as a loon too.... :p

LOL - what a smartass. So, you're saying all this is BS and I should plant the tree and not worry about even walking under a ladder?

Please post a pic of yourself walking under a ladder.

I think I recall hearing something like that.....

Wow  Very moving, you should write songs ;)

I only believe in Murphy's law. Is that superstitious???

Yea! (even though I didn't know that). That's why I want to see a pic of Wilson walking under a ladder.

This thread is getting scaawy! Now I need to look in the mirror if I forget something? I can make sure my hair is ok though.
Have you never seen that video? Oh, man, it's got the whole nine yards, walking under ladders, black cats crossing your path, broken mirrors, everything.
