How the hell do I buy this bass?!?

I plead the 5th. 😇 ;)

Nah. I've actually only ever got one speeding ticket. Most of those road trips were way back when i had a fast car in college and did drive a touch too fast. But also, not like a madman, and not when there were lots of other cars on the road. I got Staten Island to Rochester once in under 5 hours. Only once, and drove at night. 🤫

And most of those times i listed were vague recollections and could be very inaccurate too. I didn't bother to check google maps nor account for traffic. Although, as a road-tripping college kid with no schedule, i tried to avoid rush hours. A lot of times i would speed home to try and make it back in time to go to class, make it in time, but be too tired and go to sleep instead. 😆

Oh yeah, and i think most trips NY to Boston were leaving from school in Westchester, not in the 5 boros, so i was already an hour ahead of the game.

Flip side, once it took me 5 hours to get from school near White Plains to my parents' on Staten Island in some of the worst traffic i'd ever been in. Normally a 45-50 minute drive. Every alternate route, and alternate-alternate route was f'd.🤷‍♂️

Don't even own a car these days. And i just sold my motorcycle because i hardly ever ride it anymore. That money's better spent on Basses and music gear/software.🤘:bassist:

Hi guys,

So I have found the perfect bass on Facebook marketplace for a project I wanting to do.

Only problem it is at the other end of the country.

The seller is willing to post but obviously I don’t want to send some random person money for something I don’t have and they don’t want to post something they haven’t been paid for.

Is there some sort of escrow service that we could use to hold the money and it is realised once it is either sent or received?
Where are you and where is the bass?

Wait, you're in the UK? Your whole country would fit inside any one of 11 of our biggest states. Unless you don't own a car, it can't be that far to drive and get it.

So whilst our country is small, there are lots of cars on the road and i have a regular 3 hour drive that often take 5 hours or more due to traffic, accidents etc!

We get accidents stateside too; it’s just part of what you deal with when you’re on the road. It’s a very doable drive; it’s just a long one.
Of course you do, but your interstate highways (outside) are a lot less congested then ours.

Not trying to turn this into a pissing contest  but having driven in the US a little bit i would be much more open to long drive in the States than the UK. Plus the cost of petrol in the UK could turn that affordable bass into one that isn't worth the cost and effort.

I'd defo be going down the paypal route and getting ti shipped.
