How to rock n' roll this bass?

I put this bass together a while ago. Have gone back and forth on it for a while and just realized that the issue was the neck. Didn't jive for some reason. Anyway, put this USACG neck that I had on another body on it and it all just works. Unfortunately, I think it could be a little more rock n' roll. Any suggestions? New color? Pickguard? I might be able to paint it. I can definitely add a pickguard. New knobs?

other than taking the Gibson style knobs off and putting on some heavy knurled Tele knobs
I wouldn't do anything else to it.

Yeah. They are custom wound. P pickup in a jazz shell and a double jazz in the bridge also in a jazz shell.

Any and all guitars can be 'rock n' roll', no matter how it looks. You make it rock and roll, by making it rock and roll. Ted Nugent rocks out pretty well on a big ol' jazz box, so nothing aesthetic is stopping you.

No, I mean the pole spacings on the upper pup looks wider, like it was designed to be positiond at the bridge where the string spacing is actually wider.

They are in the right routes but that was a goof on the part of the maker. I should redo that shell. They sound good, though.
