According to Sir Keef of the house Richards, your bass can never be rock 'n' roll and your safest bet is to trade it for an upright.
Yup. And bass strings were mostly flats at that time. I know, I was playing on them then.
With that pickguard, it looks a little like a Fender Dimension. Tbh, I would leave it as is, but change the knobs.Here's a development...pickguard planning:

You're still a couple of years off. Go to around 1956 and look at what records came out.

By 1960 Rock N roll had been by all means neutered. People like Pat Boone took away the rough edges, Frank Sinatra launched Reprise records and Elvis is their first artist and Elvis by then had resigned himself to be a balladeer, rather than a rebel rouser. And songs coming from the brill building took away the DIY part of what made Rock N Roll so seductive to kids: you can do this too.
It took until 1964 with The Beatles breaking big for Rock N Roll to return, rough edges and most of all the DIY thing, how many teens went "Darn, it could be ME on stage and why shouldn't it be ME on stage?"
Like I said. "the good stuff" plus Ike and Jackie pre date Little Richard.
Yes they were all flats then. But if you asked everybody here they would probably tell you rounds are more rock and roll than flats. History has proved this.
