On a MM they would be bored with an NC machine so would be very precise, I also doubt that the MM QC would let it out looking like that.

How to Spot a Fake Stingray?

Just been looking at a genuine EBMM Stingray at our local music shop to familiarize myself with the hardware on the real thing, so can add one more thing to look for:
The backs of the machine heads are engraved with the Music Man logo, obviously not present on the copies.
