How to stabilize a light head on a thundering cab?

Ahh, nothing like looking back mid-song and your tiny amp is moving. Then the cables pull it back (the speaker cables may outweigh the amp) and you see it at the back pointing up briefly, and before you can get to it, it disappears!!!

So I made a box, kind of a rack mount with a removable front panel and top, from wood scraps. Amp, a tiny pancake fan blowing towards the amp, wireless receiver w/power supply, bass/keyboard bass mini mixer w/power supply, Fuhrman surge suppressor/outlets, potentially a rackmount compressor, holds all the speaker cables inside and the 14ga extension cord stays attached for transport, sweat rags, and an emergency 20' instrument cable.

And also a plastic box for my transmitter, wallet, spare batteries, flashlight, lighting remotes, Kleenex, handcuffs (disabled prop; we are The Feds Band after all!!). And a modest flask of single malt for medicinal purposes. This doesn't go anywhere! Makes setup a breeze, too, all those things are pre-wired. It's a lot lighter than it looks.

Oh, and a little pouch with Tylenol, Gaviscon, Imodium, toothpicks and a few other things. I've handed those to band members more than I've used them. Sometimes I'm called mom, I don't know why.

Yeah, now it looks funny sitting on two 112s, but I don't care.

So all the talk and all the action on lightweight heads and we're back to using big bulky racks? Some things never change and other things always stay the same

This thread has yielded the best $7 sound improvement I've known from.
Added these vibration dampening squares under the cab feet. It has totally eradicated sympathetic vibration from nearby stuff like window panes and all kinds of things (art no longer falls from walls, etc.). This has focused the sound immensely, really clarified low end. Can't strongly enough recommend this for many applications.
This is a tight shot under the front left of a 410. Wow wow wow.
Still working on stabilizing the head, awaiting delivery of hook and loop strap but an old desk blotter is doing pretty well for now.

Every time I have a gig, I sneak into the venue the night before, drill a hole into the ceiling directly above where my rig will be sitting, and install one of those hooks you use for hanging plants.
On the night of the gig, I use a length of fishing line (strong and nearly invisible) to hang my micro head from the hook, so that it's barely touching the cabinet.
Actually, I made that up.
All kidding aside, the black towel is my favorite suggestion so far.

Sorta.
The Red Green Show. I think the saying was "If they don't find ya handsome, they should at least find ya handy."
Good, kind hearted, and funny show.
He and his wife were also a musical comedy duo known as Maclean and Maclean.
Maclean? I thought it was Smith & Smith.
One of the most hilarious clips was when he was describing his old neighbor up the road, who bought a military surplus helicopter. Apparently his neighbor harvested 60 acres of trees before he figured how to get it flying upright and level.

Actually, Maclean and Maclean were brothers... Gary and Blair. I used to run sound for them on the regular lol.

perhaps if you went to a carpet store they would give you a remnant that would be a good size or could be cut down to the size you want...that would work I think...not positive though maybe the carpet would slide too, ask them for a little piece of padding to glue onto the carpet..just throwing stuff out there...I have this problem too..I keep re-positioning it after a couple of songs after a quick swig of beer...
