So I plan to uninstall the neck on my current old 2010 production main Ibanez GSRM20 Mikro Bass with a pretty battered up body and transfer it to the mahogany body of another 2017 production GSRM20B Mikro Bass in Weathered Black finish that I got, since the neck and frets on that one are messed up, contrary to the old donor neck, which has as good as perfect fretwork, is the most stable neck that I ever had on any bass or guitar, very rarely requiring adjustments and holding tuning exceptionally well.
However, while the heel of the donor neck from my old main Mikro fits the neck pocket of the donor newer production Mikro body absolutely perfectly, nice and tight, apparently Ibanez changed the placement and pattern of the holes for the neck screws in the neck pocket since the donor neck was produced, which means that the screw holes in the donor neck doesn't match those in the neck pocket of the donor body, meaning I will have to fill out the old holes in the donor neck with wood plugs and glue and drill new pilot holes for the neck screws.
The point being that I will have to store the donor neck a few days detached both from it's old original body and from the newer body it is planed to go on, while the glue dries and sets properly with the wood plugs used to fill out the old screw holes in the neck, and while I route a new pickup cavity in the donor body in the current P pickup position, since I plan to install a different and bigger pickup in that spot.
So finally here is my main point and question :
How should I store the detached donor neck in the meantime?
Should I just let it be as it is now after I've detached it, adjusted to have a quite minimal relief with the current string pull installed on the old body, or should I loosen or perhaps even tighten the trussrod further, and is there anything else I should be aware of regarding storing the detached neck correctly (mind it will only be a matter of a couple of days)?
