How well do you laugh at yourself ?

except when pain is involved. Then I have to wait until the pain or the memory of it subsides.

I laugh at myself quite a bit to make up for my short-comings. I've known some people who just cannot be a little self-deprecating and they wind up hitting the sauce (read: Wild Turkey) and flipping out (in a bad way) at parties.

Like Phalex said, I would really kick my own *** if I was too uptight.

If it takes you a few years to get the joke it's no wonder your bad at it.

How well do I laugh at myself? Pretty well. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd probably give my self a 8. I'm still working on the deep, low chuckling that is sometime necessary, but most of the other standard laughs I have down pretty well. The challenge is knowing which one is appropriate for which situation.

In a business setting, I always check around me first to see who else (i.e. my boss) has a sense of humor that day.

Sometimes its a matter of laughing at yourself, then working like hell to fix what has been broken. Then - maybe - you can laugh at yourself again in the course of figuring out what went wrong and making sure it doesn't happen that way EVER again.
