Great repair Paul. Even if the dark CA line would show, i'd assume that people usually put lemon oil over unfinished fretboards which darkens the whole thing anyway. Add frets and strings over that and no one may ever notice
Ebony shines up so well just by sanding it and dry buffing it. Also I love the chocolate colored streaking in Mac Ebony. This board isn't getting oiled, its to pretty the way it is to darken it.
