Howdy folks, my name is Sean, and I'm a recovering bass-playing-idiot. I've been making noise since I was 12 (with guitars and a trumpet), picking up a bass to fill a spot in a highschool Beatles/Stones/etc cover band at 14. At 24, I stopped playing because I was tired of flaky musicians, and took up mountain bike racing instead.
And now, 15 years after I bought my lovely MiM Fender Jazz, I took the time to RTFM and set up my instrument correctly (for the first time, mind you.) No wonder always got tired after playing for hours! The action was so high you could slide a guitar neck under it.
So if you'll excuse me, I've got a lot of practicing to do before I'm back where I was (I hope the time off made me forget some bad habits
