Having settled in for a little bit now, how's everyone liking the new version of TB?

I've got to say I'm pretty impressed at how seamlessly the transition occurred. And once I got used to how the new site works, I haven't really noticed any significant downsides. With some cool new features now available, I'd say I'm pretty good with it.

If you hate it, please be gentle. I'm not looking to dump on TB. Just taking the temperature around here, I'm curious who's happy & who's not.

I think it's great.
I've been her for a while and while I've always enjoyed my time here, it always seemed like something was missing.
Something to pull it all together, make it feel more like we're all hanging out in a big room with all these different conversations happening.
The "like" feature is something I always wished we had, quoting and adding "+1" was kind of a pain in the a**.
I like everything about the new version, I am running TalkBass Retro however, I really do like the bluish theme.
(For some reason, your thread is forcing me to view it in TalkBass 2014 mode but who cares really)
There's been a lot of whining about the new format, I wonder if the complainers have ever purchased new shoes, or eaten at a new restaurant...

I'm transitioning fairly well. I do prefer the Retro theme though. There's a couple of things that could be changed to make it better (more like the old site) like on the "New Posts" page, have which forum the post is located. It seems to be faster than the old site too.

I like it a lot, but I (like all mods) got a chance to preview it/try it before it was released, so I was a bit familiar with it already.

I really like how it works on mobile devices, so I no longer have to use that horrible TB app....

Well, twice, since it's been released, I've been notified of updates to the FB iphone app.

I like that the posts of followed threads are included in the email notification. It allows me to see the post on my phone and not have to go online to see it.

What I still don't like . . . that everything is broken out into different sections. I can't just scroll down from the regular threads to the sponsored to the classifieds.

If you're using the desktop version of the site, you can hover over the "forums" link and get a complete list of all forums, where you can select any forum directly without having to drill down through the categories. If you're using a mobile site, I believe you can get the same list by tapping once on the "forums" link, and then you can get to the "forums" page by tapping a second time.

Getting used to it. The one thing I can't figure out is how to see threads I have post in that have new posts since my last visit.

On my iPhone, when I open Tapatalk and then TB, I get all threads I've posted on that have new posts at the top. I really like that. On the laptop all I can do is select "New Posts" but that draws from everything.

Anyone know what I mean and is there a fix?

Click on your name at top right. Select preferences. Check the box that says something like "automatically watch threads that I post in". Then they will show up in your watched threads. You can also go into alert preferences and choose to get an alert whenever someone posts in a watched thread.

Edit: Actually just hover the mouse over your name, don't click.

Here's something that I don't like . . . searches appear to only go back a few years. A search will show 27 pages of results and then that's it. Also, a google search doesn't appear to get much better as results that show for example 2010 or so will only get a blank page.

Loving it, especially the mobile interface. Love the alerts, the like button, drafts, avatars indicating which threads you've contributed to etc.
My only niggle is the quote process. I rarely quote more than one post, but I still have to click quote - insert quotes - insert quotes again to get it in a post. It's not a showstopper but it's still 3 times the clicking that I used to do for the same process.

Overall, it's a fantastic job done - nice work admins :-)
