Woke up sickish, went for a planned tandem ride up a nice steep hill in the rain. Came home, thawed out, ate, slept, ate, about to sleep again. Ren and Stimpy DVDs, kids vegging out elsewhere. A good day

Watching the oscars. Almost stopped when Jared ****ing Leto won his at the beginning. I never thought i'd live to to see this day, especially thinking of nearly twenty years back watching My So Called Life and thinking "wow i don't know who that guy is, but he sucks". Time to watch Fight Club or American Psycho i think...

I don't have a lot of tough days, but today is one.

Got a job working as an archiver for my aunt's real estate office to hold me over until I ship off for grad school, which is starting to stress me out since I haven't heard anything back except for 2 rejection letters from FSU (the college of arts & science didn't feel my research was a good match with any of the faculty's) and Virginia (I didn't graduate with honors from my BS and MS, I don't have 30 publications, I'm not Thomas Jefferson's great-great-great-great grandson, and the department was only taking 4 or 5 students out of a pool of 30 applicants), although after talking to a few of my friends who went to UVa I'm kind of relieved, since apparently it's incredibly stressful and they didn't retain much because they were too busy cramming round the clock.

Today, Im good and sick. The ride was a bad idea, although I felt better riding than before and after.
