Yeah Warmoth offers most of the fender bodystyles in lefty. You could piece one together for pretty cheap. You could even go the Gecko route, but your Stingray should keep you satisfied.

Did you get the natural all maple neck? Those things are better than sex!

Sorry buddy but since when has this country catered to the minority? It's a shame that they don't make a lefty for you but they probably wouldn't make the amount of money they would like to see from it. A company as large as Fender is pretty much in it for the money these days. Maybe go with some of the said options here, or perhaps find a local builder that you like.

That said, my advice is, with few exceptions, never buy a bass in Australia. You are much better off purchasing one in the US and saving yourself a ton of cash. PM if you want details.

+10000. I have done this a few times, and even with shipping and GST have ended up many hundreds of dollars ahead. The only unknown is if the bass will feel 'right' - I got a G&L 2000 from Bass Central a couple of years back, and ended up moving it on just because it never quite felt right in my hands. Still, I ended up about even on the transaction.

Also, you may well find US-based people open to negotation a bit more. I bought a new MIM Fender Jazz from ********** a while back here in Adelaide, and in the process of negotiation they said they wouldn't chuck in a Fender leather strap to sweeten the deal (think the RRP is $20 or something), but would only take $10 off (and this was spending ~AUS$1200 on the bass). I pointed out I would let everyone know how stingy they were, insisted on paying full price for the strap and haven't bought a thing from them since. The bass guy (is it Brendan) there is cool though.

If you do go getting a bass from overseas, see if they will send the neck and body separately (assuming it's not a neck-through), you might be able to slip under the customs / GST radar that way.

Other conspiracies:
Lefties are usually more creative. Look at Leonardo Da Vinci or Albert Einstein, who are widely accepted as the only two geniuses. They were both lefty.
Many ancient writings started out from right to left - proof that lefties invented it. Then, it later turned around - when righties discovered how useful it was and took it to their purposes.
