Huge rig thread!

I think the op has a point because in rigs of doom we had trouble defining what "doom" actually meant. This is a "size matters" thread haha!
Here's a classic Ampeg stack and two GS112s I used for a while

And a 6x10 with a 1210

I had an idea to do this a few years back, run a few preamps into a switching system like that Coleman and into one poweramp and a cab or two.

Any reason why you didn't get rid of the agro as well and got the dual channel AG500?

Just seems that it would at least save space since the agro is the same as the distortion channel.

Thats only 128" of speaker space. Don't you know that more speakers = more volume?
And 4600 watts? You'll risk underpowering your cabs, and you won't have much headroom.

PLX-3402 - Stereo mode with one Avatar B410 per channel, each receiving 1100 watts.​

PLX-2402 - Bridged mono mode, providing 1200 watts to each Aguilar GS-212.

PLX-3402 - 2200 watts​

PLX-2402 - 2400 watts​

Total wattage = 4600​

Aren't the GS212 only rated at 600w a piece? Do you encounter any problems running 1200w through each?

Yes, they are rated at 600w each. Never had a problem. Never needed to crank that rig all the way. To do so would have caused instant sterilization and a tectonic plate shift. I just didn't want to deal with that.

I run my 4 ohm GS-212 with a Crown XTi 2000 in bridge mode on occasion. According to the Crown forum, bridged it puts out about 1600 watts RMS 20-20k into 4 ohms. Sounds awesome! No problems. It's just a matter of listening for signs of distress.

It's roughly 1080.16 sq. inches.

Area = Pi x radius^2

This counts right? It's taller than an Ampeg fridge. Standard rig of 700W into (4) 12 inch speackers, plus a micro rig of 300W into (1) 12 speaker.

There can never be too many "rigs of doom" threads simply because it's always nice to see a Peavey 3610 or that Aguilar/Avatar stack. So cool...
All I've got to bring to the table is a low-res picture of 58 inches of speaker diameter and 300 watts, but I've since upgraded from B1-RE to the B2-RE(450w) and sold the 4x10 to the band I quit from.

haha I figgured you never had to use all the power you have but theoretically the power your rig puts out should be limited by the lowest factor (amp or cab). In the case of the 2x12's you are 1200watts less of what you state because eventhough the amp puts out 2400w your cabs won't be able to handle that.
