Hugh Hopper - 2007. What fuzz is he playing?

Here is a video of the inimitable Hugh Hopper live in Japan in 2007. There are brief glimpses of his pedals. The Boss and Line-6 pedals are easy to identify but what is the pedal with the two footswitches that is first in the chain? I imagine it is a fuzz or overdrive but it is certainly not the shoebox sized Shaftsbury Duo-Fuzz (SuperFuzz) he used in the early days.
Any guesses? I'm sure there is someone here who was at that show and maybe talked to Hugh afterwards!

I couldn't say but always thought that the Boss ODB3 perfectly got the Hugh Hopper sound although I am using a Invalid Link Removed for that tone these daze.


It's very versatile and rather unique.

I found out that the pedal in the video is a Prescription Electronics Face Lift. Super unoptainium!
I am not actually chasing the High Hopper tone. A fellow bass player asked me to identify the pedal in the video. Through a long convoluted process he actually ended up finding the answer himself!
