Hum cancelling jazz pickups

I'll have to keep investigating. The model J is a different model than the Area J's. I have been using true singles in my strats because I shield them well. I am not sure how effectively I can shield a Jazz bass. I have never done it. The Area Strat Pickups are awfully close to single coil tone. If the Area J's are as good, I could probably live with that. More research/listening is clearly needed. :)
The Area J pups are great. Still sounds like a jazz to me… overall, most pickups designs that have the intent to sound like a jazz (or a P or whatever else) ultimately sound exactly like what they’re trying to achieve when heard in the context of a band. The 2-5% difference that folks on TB chatter about really is negligible or completely unnoticeable, in my experience.
