Humming sound in Traynor Dynabass 800

So saturday nite played my 3rd gig with this head everything was fine......last nite i plugged it into an ampeg svt810....and as soon as i turned it on it started humming like an airplane was landing or something......so i figured maybe its the cabinet to head problem.....i grabbed my traynor TC410 cab and still same thing.....

the head has a tube preamp in it........but now i dont know what the problem is im waiting to hear back from traynor......

any ideas???

Cheers

Disconnect everything from the amp except the speaker and power it ON. If you still hear the amp humming turn down the volume and gain controls. If it is still humming there is a good possibility that you have lost an output transistor or two.

If the head was powered ON while you were plugging in the speaker cabinet, and you were using a 1/4" plug, there is a possibility that the connector jack of the cabinet shorted out the amp output while you were plugging in in.
