HX Stomp and Eventide H9 on a board. How to patch them?

I couldn't find a Stomp super thread, so here's a new one...

So here's my current effects:

• PastFX PX-101
• HX Stomp
• Eventide H9
• MXR Bass Synth
• Broughton HPF
• Cali76 Bass Comp
• Sushibox Finally V3

The HPF, Cali76, and FInally will be always on and at the end of the chain. How should I connect the rest of the stuff?

My first thought is to put the H9 in the send/return of the Stomp. That way I can change the order of effects between the two of those. But then there's the bass synth and PX-101, and possibly a dirt box down the line.

I would like to control the patch-setting from the Stomp. What's the best way to send patch changes to the HP when I change it on the Stomp?

Since the Stomp only has one send/return, I can't reorder the other effects. how do I order them?
Are the bass synth and PX-101 expendable now that I have the Stomp and H9?

Are you using the H9 in mono? If you are, you could split the send return and put the H9 & the MXR & Past FX in different returns. You'll just need a y split cable.

There's some posts about 4 cable method and using 2 mono fx loops with a Y split cable that might help you with how to patch it all together.
I use a Y split in the fx loop of mine. 1 loop has my LA-1A comp, and the other has my EHX BMS. That way you can move them around in your signal chain from patch to patch.

I had the H9 and stomp for a bit (and pf101)
I used both effects loops on the hx stomp (yes it can do two in mono) and had Anadime chorus and h9 in one and my diy prunes and custard (Aotearoa intermodulator) and pf101 in the other.

You def want the h9 in a loop - as if you’re using the pitch factor stuff it’s going to go somewhere very different to if you are in reverb or mod territory.

The filter on the hx stomp can get close to the pf101, the filter in the H9 is awful. The hx stomp and H9 can do some synth stuff, I’ve not tried the Mxr but used to have the C4 and ild say neither are in the same synth league - but both will get you in a similar ballpark in very different ways. The H9 can sound quite nice but has noticeable latentcy…

Oh in mono you can also wire in the h9 to have it in two places in the chain using Left and Right sides and selecting that setup on the app - then select each patch if you want it to be which position. Worked great but I found it way way to much latentcy - and is is at the point where the H9 was the only digital pedal in the rig so it wasn’t multiple digital pedals adding together…
