Here is another project that I have in the works. This build is for me, and will be a fretted 4 string "sister" to the Elegance fretless that I built before. Some minor changes in the body. Always trying to improve! Much more to follow!!!

me like this one a-lot! methinks the more contoured body suits the design very very very...very 
on reflection......an even more contoured body profile might complement nicely the tongue-looking shape....to my crossed eyes anyway

Body is mahogany with book matched claro walnut top and white oak veneer. Neck is cherry with rosewood fretboard. Truss rod cover will be tulip wood, and control cavity cover will be mahogany.

If i want it sent here the cost of postage is higher then the product itself
How do you finish the sides of the fretboard;
do you tape the sides off to prevent the material from running down and if so, how do you get it so smooth on the sides? Seems like a lot of polishin?

That was done with System 3 Mirror Coat self-leveling epoxy.

Man, that's some amazingly curly claro... Wish I could source some of that at my local wood store.
How'd you get that rosewood fingerboard so glossy? The new build, not the fretless one, I mean...
Pretty woods and nice work, but I just can't get over that body. I don't hate it, but it definitely doesn't appeal to me. I'd hoped it would grow on my like some wishbasses, but oh well. I'll give it time.

Thanks! I started with the radius block and went from 80 grit up through 1500 grit, then I rubbed it down with a set of micro mesh sanding pads that range from 1500 grit up to 12000. Lots of hard work, but I loved the results!

I masked the sides off to prevent the Mirror Coat from going where I didn't want it to go. Then the polishing and blending. Yes, you're right, lots of polishing!!!

I did it by pouring the product right on the fingerboard, just as you would a bar top, for example. I did two coats, but probably could have stayed with one if I hadn't tried to "fix" an air bubble too late into the cure. The instructions call for a propane torch to be used to heat the product slightly and release the air bubbles. It works really well when you actually follow the directions. I'm not sure if your product is the same, so Safety Sam says to read the directions completely and follow them.
I not only followed the instructions but also talked to the guy who ownes the factory that produces it
