With 3 sensitive 15 inch drivers you wouldnt need much power at all. 3 Kappalite 3015s would have a sensitivity close to that of 2 ampeg 810s.

3rdcurve was talking about SENSITIVITY, alone. No mention of power handling, or max spl or such.

By my observation, these 15/6 cabs are being compare to a 610 in terms of max spl... not in sensitivity.

basically your looking to run all the speakers in parallel.

so if your amp only has 2 outputs number 3 is got to go somewhere. so yes you just need a parallel jack on one of the cabinets. and you just plug the 3rd cabinet into another cabinet.

its just like a power strip I guess you could say. its like a single plug that goes to multiple plugs. they all connect to the same place in parallel. it just allows you to plug in more stuff in.
except in this case the power strip is another jack on the back of a cabinet.

otherwise you only need one jack for a 2x15
and then....aww heck you can just plug another one in the other jack and have a 4x15....

but yes the 3x15 is a good idea, makes the speakers easy to carry. and by using so many you get lots of sensitivity, even with cheap speakers. So 100watts into 3x15
you would need around 400watts to get a single 15" to do that.

It is pretty likely you will have way more than you need in terms of speakers. Why do you want 3 15s? Not all speakers are created equally.

There are single 15 inch drivers that can out perform a dozen 15s. It all depends on the type of driver, cabinet design/execution, and fit to the application.

What type of cabs and amp are you contemplating?

Thanks for the help. The reason I asked about using 3 single driver cabs is that I was just wondering how you could use three cabs or an odd # of drivers & still manage to even out the power distribution to each driver. Plus I saw a photo of three 115's vertically stacked and thought "wow"
