Hypothetically speaking...what would you go for?

Say you were going to sell something for a significant amount of money, which you were going to set aside for savings....but you just NEED to get yourself something nice...for the heck of it.

Which ONE of these would you get?

1) Carvin SB5000 (with J-99A's)
Ash body with trans black finish, rosewood fingerboard with blocks, black hardware and perhaps a red-tort p/g, similar to this, but just the ash body w/o the flame top....you get the idea:

I've also seen an SB in Carvin's in-stock section a year ago with a black-satin neck finish...looked kind of cool.

2) Warwick Thumb 5 Bolt-on (probably used)

3) EBMM Sterling 5 HH
Stealth (or maybe even the dark cherry burst)with rosewood fingerboard

or what the heck....
4) Bongo 6 Stealth with rosewood

I would personally go for the Bongo or the SB5000. I've always preferred Stingrays and Bongos to Sterlings. Warwicks are nice, but I personally prefer streamers to thumbs if I were to buy one.

The SB5000 is very interesting.. it's catching my interest a lot lately. I'm not sure what it is about it, but it's really growing on me. From what I hear, you wouldn't be disappointed with one.

The Bongo I kind of put in there for giggles. I never played one so I'm not sure how it feels or sounds. But the looks have been growing on me.

If that sale of mine actually does go through....I seem to be leaning more towards the SB5000. It seems to be the most bang-for-the-buck, at about $1200 compared to $1800 for the others.

Also, I still feel that my L2500 is THE BEST sounding bass that I own, and I'd be looking for something of similar comfort, stability and sound. I may wind up selling off my Dean basses and just settle with my Stingray, G&L and the 3rd High-end bass I might be looking for (perhaps the SB)...and I'd be content (I think).
